Hello, and welcome to Chapter Two of ‘Into The Woods.’ We are now just over a month into rehearsals and think it’s time you met some of our magical cast.
We’re extremely fortunate to be working with such a wonderful group of performers, some of whom have returned from Urinetown and others that have joined our family for this Sondheim classic. This week we’ll be introducing you to the first half of our fairytale cast and letting you know just a snippet about them.
We think our cast are superb, but don’t just take our word for it – get yourself a ticket!

April Nash – Baker’s Wife
April Nash is a proud co-founder and creative director of Sound Ideas Theatre Company.
April is over the moon to be joining the cast of Into the Woods, She would like to thank her incredible creative production and directorial teams, her continuously supportive and loving family and to make a special thanks to Dan Smith for making this journey into the Woods with her.
Joseph Betts - The Baker
Joseph has lived in Norwich all his life and when he isn’t busy at his day job or performing he can be found producing local independent films.
Joseph is thrilled to be performing with Sound Ideas again. He has loved working on Into the Woods with such a lovely cast. He would like to thank his ever supportive friends and family and hopes the audiences enjoy this show.
Rebecca Jillings - The Witch
Rebecca Jillings has lived in Norfolk all her life and currently works for a corporate veterinary services company in Diss.
Rebecca is so excited to be part of the cast for Into The Woods and would like to thank her friends and family for their continued love and support.
Nicola Myers - Little Red
Nic is 18 years old, currently on a gap year before auditioning for drama schools in the new year. She is travelling to Japan, China, India and Nepal this year in an effort to find herself… completely non-ironically.
Nic is incredibly pleased to be a part of what we hope is an immensely creative and captivating production. Enjoy!
Thomas Davies - The Wolf
Tom has been involved in the world of improv comedy however a move back to Norfolk after a year in New Zealand inspired him to get involved at the Maddermarket and following that found Sound ideas.
Tom is pumped to be involved with Sound Ideas again. He’s having a great time with everyone in the cast and he can’t wait to wolf your faces off!
Heather Rudolph - Sleeping Beauty
Heather Rudolph is from Tucson, Arizona and is now a Norwich-based musical theatre performer and freelance actress.
Heather is elated to be a joining the cast of Into the Woods and this will be her first time performing with Sound Ideas. She would like to thank her family and friends for their endless support. Enjoy the show!
Charly Nash - Florinda
Charly Nash has lived in Norfolk all her life. She went to university in Lincoln and currently works as a primary school teacher in Cringleford.
Charly is absolutely over the moon to be joining the cast of Into The Woods as it is one of her favourite musicals. She would like to thank her wonderful friends and family for their ongoing support and encouragement.
Jake Champion - The Steward
Jake Champion currently lives and works in Norwich as a Wine Advisor and this allows him to pay his rent and fuel his need for good wines.
Jake is really happy to be returning to Sound Ideas for what is his absolute favourite musical (which ignited his passion for both Sondheim and Bernadette Peters) and would like to thank his family for all their support.
Nina Taylor - Cinderella
Nina Taylor has been living local to Norwich for 6 months and is currently working in a small office on Tombland.
Nina is both delighted and terrified to be joining the cast of Into The Woods and playing such an iconic character.
